It has been a pleasure and an honor to practice pediatrics in Anne Arundel County for the past 20 years. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to watch many of my patients grow from infants all the way to adulthood and often become parents themselves. I cannot thank my patients and their parents enough for trusting me with the health of their children.
I was recently given the chance to move my medical career in a new direction and have accepted a position at the FDA. While I am excited about this new opportunity to improve the health of a larger group of children, this unfortunately means that I will no longer be able to dedicate my time to clinical medicine. I will therefore be closing my practice on June 30, 2022. A letter was sent to each family with this information in May along with a release of medical records. I apologize if for whatever reason, you did not receive the letter and only found out this information when you received the text on 6/24/22.
I realize that the office closure will affect my patients tremendously and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause you. I assure you that there are excellent pediatricians locally available to continue their care and we will make sure that your children’s charts are available to them so that their medical care will be seamless.
Christine Habersaat, CRNP, has accepted a position with Owings Mills Pediatrics. If you would like your child to follow Christine at Owings Mills Pediatrics, you must fill out a release of records & have the records sent there. Christine will NOT have access to your child's records after our office closure 6/30 & Owings Mills Pediatrics SHOULD NOT be contacted to request your child's records- they DO NOT have any medical records for our patients.
If you plan to take your child to Owings Mills Pediatrics, please ONLY call them to verify that they accept your insurance, or to schedule an appointment with Christine after she starts there July 6, 2022. While they accept a variety of private insurances, they only accept Amerigroup for Medical Assistance. You WILL have to go online and change your child's MCO to Amerigroup if you'd like to take your child there.
Those patients who would like to continue their care with her can schedule appointments at her new office located at:
10045 Red Run Boulevard, Suite 135 Owings Mills, MD 21117 Phone: 410-363-2240 (OwingsMillsPediatrics.com)
It has been a privilege to partner with you and provide care to you. I wish you and your children continued good health in the future. I have loved being part of your lives.
-Naomi Shaikh, M.D.

If you are trying to get a copy of your child’s medical records due to our office closing shortly, please fill out the release of medical records which was mailed to your home along with the notice that our office was closing and fax to CIOX at 1-866-663-0047. Records will be mailed to the address you indicate on the release of records. If you did not receive the release of records or have misplaced it, you can print out a copy of the release of records (above) and fax it to the number indicated. Rest assured, your medical records will be stored and handled by Lifebridge Health permanently, and you will be able to get copies of your child’s records even years after our office has closed. Medical records are stored for at least 5 years after your last visit, or for 3 years after your child’s 18th birthday, whichever is longer. Your records will not be destroyed.
If you would like to have a personal copy of the records, please have the records sent to yourself. You may then make a copy and give one to your new medical doctor. At this time, we cannot make multiple copies for each family as we are trying to get at least one copy out to each family first.
If you have filled out a release and sent it to us but have not been contacted yet, they are not yet ready and will be mailed to you after the office closes. You will still get your records.
